Is that it? Just the BBC and CNN? What about all the local stations in New York and Washington as well as the major network news organizations that were once archived. Even Canadian, Mexican, and some middle east stations were also archived? Did this project fail to live up to its goals due to lack of funding? In the beginning it appeared that there were quite a few heavyweights supporting this effort. What happened?

there were originally very large video archives of about twenty broadcast outlets, domestic and international. however, we were not able to adequately support those files and it simply didnt work very well so we cut it back to what we could handle. we currently are seeking funding to resurrect that and more. other potential sources for that information are the wayback machine or our daily feed of middle east news from linktv. http://www.archive.org/movies/movieslisting-browse.php?collection=independent_news&cat=Mosaic

and the democracy now material, I believe that the archive just has audio from dn! but you can stream the video portion of some shows on democracynow.org.

try indymedia.com too perhaps and memoryhole(don't recall if it is .org or .com or what)
